bride wedding dress bouquet wrap pink

Denene's dress was beautifully simple, and came with a hot pink organza wrap. Immediately the pink wrap said - make flowers. After deconstructing the dress I ended up using the lining as well to create magnolia-like flowers, and cherry-blossom style ones from the wrap by using a flame to shape and seal the edges of individually cut petals.

The dress had three main focus areas - the décolletage, the ruched and sequinned area, and the beautiful lace-up back. These ended up simply sitting across the canvas, and slightly draping over the sides - almost leaving an 'impression of a dress' with suggested by the remaining elements.

The flowers were scattered over the canvas filling pockets of space and creating a movement right around the whole piece. The tails of the lace up ribbon were strewn across and stitched into place, again creating a sense of movement and life.
