Svenja achieved her Diploma of Applied Fashion and Design from TAFE in 2017. She has been a finalist in the World of WearableArt twelve times, and in 2015 toured Australia as Guest Artist with Expertise Events Craft & Quilt Fair. Svenja has also exhibited internationally with Wearable Expressions, and in Australia with Wearable Art Mandurah and paperonskin, where in 2018 she received the Major Award. A previous board member of TAFTA, she has received coverage in magazines such as TEXTILE Fibre Forum, Embellish, Felt, Down Under Textiles, OzArts, Fiber Art Now, and is currently a regular contributor to TEXTILE Fibre Forum. At the end of 2019 she participated in a five week Artist Residency on King Island, Tasmania, which continues to inspire her new body of work.
